If you read my posts you will know I have a new puppy Chihuahua called Archie.
He is really tiny so gets cold very easy, even in my house with the central
heating on and the log burner.
In the evenings he likes to lay on my lap for a cuddle before he goes to sleep.
So my hubby said I should make Archie a blanket to keep him warm.
So last night while watching t.v. and eating chocs. I made this for him.
I knitted a square first. Then crocheted round the square until it was big enough for
him. Then edged it in white. Put his name in the centre and put a paw print in one of the corners.
You can see in this picture where Archie was shaved on his back, when he was ill
last week.
Archie loves it and it is doing a good job of keeping him warm on my lap.
I hope my other dogs do not get jealous or I will be making 5 more......

HOMEMADE FELT CHRISTMAS BUNTING
I have not had much time for crafting lately, but I
did fit in this little make.
Just two pieces of felt which I sewed buttons on.
Then I hand sewed them togeather onto a length of string.
Very simple, but festive.
I did Christmas trees and Stockings.
I hang it over my kitchen mirror.
You can see in the reflection that my daughter has covered
my kitchen table with all her Uni work!
I love the reflection in this picture of my kitchen and dogs by the Aga.
My table is now cleared ready for the big day.

START OF A CRAFT ROOM
Today I thought I would show you the start of my craft room
This is our boot room. It is has only been used for our dogs to sleep in and storage.
But I thought I could use it as my craft room for now.
I have put one of my farmhouse tables in there which is perfect for my sewing machines.
I have made new curtains with green pom pom trim.
A jug is perfect for my knitting needles.
And kilner jars for storage
Always room for bunting.
I made this spotty one a while back.
As you can see one end is still used for storage.
I still need to tidy this end up.
In this room the ceiling is very high and it has beams.
Still lots of work to do. I will show you my progress in later posts.

HOME SWEET HOME
My daughter has been home from Uni, for the weekend. She had caught my bugs and was very poorly.
Yesterday I drove her back. Then had a very lonely drive back.......
Because I had spent most of the day driving and then still had to do school run etc I was very tired.
So did I go to bed early NO! I stayed up reading posts.
With the result that I did not wake up till 8 a.m. School run is at 8.10 a.m. so you can imagine my panic.
Anyway we got there just in time. Probably looking a bit rough. Never mind.
Today I have been planting out my raised beds. I will show you in a later post.
I did not want to end this month with more garden posts.
So instead I wanted to show you my latest make .
I will probably put it in a white frame.
Do you remember making these at school ?

A POST AT LONG LAST !!!!!! UP CYCLED KNITTED PROJECT.
Hi everyone. I have finally got daughters lap top set up and have started editing pictures for you.
I still do not have a camera ( if you read my blog you will know I have had many things pack up recently).
So I am still using phone. So quality is not as good , Sorry. Which in its self caused me a problem ........
I have spent days, hours each evening trying to transfer pictures which did not transfer or just copied the same picture ten times, thus having to spend more hours deleting the copies. You can imagine I have not been happy!!!!!
Anyway fingers crossed things will go well now. So here's my first post for a while.
I always have lots of wool left over from other projects. Here is what I did with the last lot.
A few knitted squares.
All joined in a row.
Then joined into a square.
Can you guess yet.
My daughter did not want this fluffy bean bag.
I thought it was too good to get rid of. So I Up Cycled it.
And because I wrapped my knitted squares tightly. It went from a square bean bag to a round one.
What do you think? Do you like the before or after?
I think it looks really sweet with my Vintage floral chair.
I have a backlog of posts to do for you. So will try my best to catch up. Please bear with me.

HANDMADE RAG WREATH
If you have been reading my Blog you will know that I made
a tiny Rag Wreath for my new Dolls House.
I have never made a Rag Wreath before.
But after making the tiny one I wanted to make a full size version.
I found a old metal coat hanger.
Bent it into a circle shape.
Then used left over fabric. to cover.
I was shocked at how quick and easy it was to make.
It looks fab on my pink dresser.
I will be making more.
Have you tried?
What do you use to make the ring?
Would love to hear.
Have you spotted what fabric I used ?
It was the fabric I had left over from my Dolls House curtains.
Russian Dolls and Patchwork.
Give yourself a pat on the back if you noticed this.

HOMEMADE PRESENTS
I made a couple of presents for my daughter.
I used to do a lot of drawing and painting in the past.
But have not got the time anymore. I'm not that good but just enjoy it.
So I did a drawing of our five dogs for my daughter.
I knew she would appreciate my effort.
I did not have a photo of all five dogs together.
They never stay still long enough.
So I had to take bits from different photos to draw them.
I really enjoyed doing this and it has reminded me how much
I used to enjoy drawing. I will now find time to do more.
And hopefully get better!
My daughter loved it even though it was not my best work.
Also do you remember me playing with clay at Christmas.
My daughter wanted me to make Bailey.
This is the finished result. I painted him orange and added a ribbon.
Again she loved this.
It's so nice to have fun making things for people that truly appreciate
all the love you put into them.
Did you make lots of things for your loved ones at Christmas.
I would like to be brave and have a complete homemade Christmas.
But it has not happened yet.

WHAT TO DO WITH SPARE FELT !
.
Hope you had a good Friday.
I'm so glad the weekend is here.
This week has been really busy.It has been a big effort
to get back into routine with the school runs etc.
Today I thought I would show you some of my recent makes.
I had a little felt left and wanted to make something
So of course it had to be Gingerbread men.
I had brought some lovely pastel buttons.
They were perfect to use for this.
I made two dark brown ones and one light brown.
I added two buttons on each and stitched their eyes and mouths.
Then sewed blanket stitch round the edges then stuffed.
To finish I added a white ribbon.
I stitched them onto a long length of white ribbon.
And then added two felt hearts with a cross stitch.
I think they came out o.k. And they did not take long to make.
I love making things out of felt.
Do You?
